Understanding Dogs and Staying Safe
Service Description
Our mission is to build safer, more compassionate communities by teaching children how to understand and interact respectfully with dogs. As a certified canine behavior consultant, we offer interactive workshops in primary and secondary schools. These sessions are designed to help students of all ages learn the basics of dog body language, how to safely approach a dog, and how to avoid risky situations that could lead to bites or fear-based behavior. What students will learn: How to recognize signs that a dog is stressed, scared, or wants space The right and wrong ways to approach or pet a dog Simple rules for staying safe around both familiar and unfamiliar dogs Why understanding a dog’s behavior is key to building trust and preventing accidents Our sessions are age-appropriate, engaging, and designed to encourage empathy, responsibility, and confidence in children when interacting with dogs—both at home and in the community. Let’s help the next generation grow up with the knowledge and respect they need to be safe, kind, and responsible around our canine companions.
